Payment

A 35% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date. This goes toward your total. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the event, once we finalize the guest count and menu details. Guest counts can increase after that point if availability allows, but reductions can’t be refunded.

Cancellation Policy

I completely understand that plans can change, so I offer partial refunds with enough notice. If a cancellation is made after the full payment has been submitted but it’s 10 days before the event, you’ll receive a 50% refund of the total event cost, minus the 35% retainer. Nine days or fewer before the event, no refunds are available at this point, as supply ordering and potential staffing will already be underway. The non-refundable retainer fee helps cover planning time, communication, and coordination that happens well before the event date. If you ever need to reschedule rather than cancel, I’m always happy to explore options when timing and availability allow. 

Food Allergies/Changes

Food By Jess Blackman’s facility contains gluten, dairy, soy, and all types of nuts. We will gladly accommodate requests for special dietary needs, however, we cannot provide a 100% guarantee. Gluten-free, nut-/tree nut-free items are made, prepared, and cooked on shared equipment and surfaces that are deep-cleaned and sanitized prior to use. We cannot guarantee that our menu items are 100% free of the allergen as there is always a possibility of trace amounts crossing over from other kitchen areas. Substitutions may occur based on market availability.

Leftover Food

If, at the end of the event, any food and beverage is not served it will return with Food By Jess Blackman staff, unless otherwise specified. No credits or refunds will be given for any unconsumed products.

Guest Count

Pricing is based on your guaranteed minimum guest count, which may not be lowered after the initial booking. The final guest count is due 14 days prior to the event. The final guest count may not be lowered once given. Any additional guests are subject to additional charges.
